Salmon make their way upstream through frothy cables of water on this shawl collar cardigan.

The body of this cardigan and the shawl collar/buttonband are worked back and forth on circular needles while the sleeves are worked in the round on double-pointed needles. It sports two front pockets and is topped off with 8 deer antler buttons hand made by John Galda from Main St. Yarns.

Yarn: Any knitting worsted of your choice, 3.5oz/100gm approx. = 220 yards/200 metres. Cover model pullover, size S, was knit with Briggs & Little Regal 2 Ply - Horizon Blue.

Needles ‘n’ Notions: One 3.5mm (US 4) & one 4.5mm (US 7) 47”/119.5cm circular knitting needles or size to obtain gauge.
Four 3.5mm (US 4) & five to six 4.5mm (US 7) double-pointed needles or size to obtain gauge. Eight 3/4-7/8” deer antler buttons. Cable needle, stitch holders/waste yarn, markers, darning needle.
