Toss in your towel, book, sunglasses, water, and sunscreen and head for the beach! This roomy beach bag has a linen stitch base for sturdiness, an I-cord edged strap for strength, and a bit of lace, texture, and color to make it fun to knit! Base is worked flat, then stitches are picked up on the other 3 sides so that the body of the bag can be worked in the round. Strap is worked from one side and then joined at the other side with a 3-needle bind-off.
