Spring 2025 Collection: This.Bird.Knits x Manos del Uruguay

Our collection with Annie Haas of This.Bird.Knits focuses on her love of stitch texture and feminine silhouettes. She explores the possibilities of one openwork stitch over several pieces, in different arrangements and at different scales. See how it brings different moods - depending on which Manos yarn is used - that can be mixed and matched for your own style!

//

Enjoy the playful color splashes of Marla, shown here in Poolside, thanks to the color-changing plies that create a marled, non-self-striping fabric. Or opt for Sami, our semi-solid sister yarn to Marla, to highlight the textural motifs at neck and sleeves. The tee has 3 waist-shaping options: straight, hourglass, or tapered (shown). With both shaping and yarn choices, this pattern is one you can knit again and again!

NOTES
This project is worked seamlessly in the round from the top down. The circular yoke has short rows to raise the back neck.

After completing the yoke, stitches are placed on hold for the armhole openings, and the body is worked downward in the round. There are three options for shaping the cropped lower body: straight-sided with no shaping, a tapered style that measures about 2” less at the lower edge than the underarms, and an hourglass silhouette that decreases about 2” for the waist and then increases again. Shown in tapered style.

The neck, lower edge, and sleeves are finished with a border that includes garter ridges, gathered stitch clusters, and ribbing.
