You can knit this shawl in any yarn weight from fingering weight onwards. You can also mix different yarn weights as in the sample, if the needle size works for all of them.
Possibilities for enlargement are given in the pattern.

Colour 1 - 460 m / 504 yds Madelinetosh 80/10/10 sport (80 % merino, 10 % cashmere goat, 10 % nylon -
229 m / 250 yds) in colour “grotto”
Colour 2 - 305 m / 334 yds Malabrigo “Arroyo” (100 % merino, 306 m (335 yds) / 100g) in colour “Wabi Sabi”
Colour 3 - 330 m / 361 yds De Rerum Natura Gilliatt (100 % merino, 250 m (274 yds) / 100g) in colour “printemps”
or any other yarn (for more information see notes, page 2)
Please note that the information provided is only an estimate and depends on the respective yarn and the way of knitting!

needle - 4.0 mm / US 6

gauge - 19 sts x 40 rows = 10x10 cm / 4x4” in garter stitch (after blocking)
Gauge isn´t crucial, but differences will affect the finished size as well as the required yardage.

Das Tuch kannst du in jeder Garnstärke ab Sockengarn stricken. Es können auch verschiedene Stärken wie im Mustertuch gemischt werden, sofern für alle die Nadelstärke passt.
Möglichkeiten zur Verlängerung und was zu beachten ist, sind in den jeweiligen Abschnitten beschrieben.
