Same but different! I love the 2#2 stitch, and I am still claiming it! I love how different it looks when using different yarn weights & needle sizes. So the name “Same but different” for this design just sounded right. Same 2#2 stitch, but different construction and yarn weight & needles. Winter has definitely arrived in New Zealand and even if we don’t have harsh winters, everybody loves shawls and scarves, not only they keep us warm but they bring a spot of colour to a dull day.
You know that I love fluff, but this time I wanted to use the beautiful Araucania Painted Suri, something fluffy but something that will grow quickly before our winters are gone. And I wanted to design something that will use the whole hank of Araucania Painted Suri. So here it is! Same but different!
My knitting style is pretty loose so if your style is quite firm, you may want to go a size up in needles.

Alternatives: pretty much any yarn weight in natural fibers using needles a couple of sizes bigger than the band suggests.
Size totally customizable on your available yarn, just make sure you are using slightly less than half of the amount of yarn you have for the first half of shawl.
