This pattern will be divided into four single patterns so THIS pattern will not be updated!
A basic raglan sweater in 6 sizes, 4 versions and 1 pattern.
It has a wide neck, fitted shoulders, curved raglan lines for a better fit, a relaxed fit at the body, long narrow sleeves and soft airy yarn!
It’s ‘less is more’.
No bulks at the armpits – I hate those bulks
Possible to incorporate some of the one-skein hand-dyed yarn from stash.
Compose the sweater as desired: one-colored, striped, dip-dyed, reversible or with ‘magic balls’.
Descriptions of four versions before the instructions:
Version 1: Sweater with hand-dyed variegated/speckled merino yarn
Version 2: Sweater in dip-dye technic and/or reversible
Version 3: Sweater with magic knots and magic balls
Version 4: Sweater in natural yarn and with feminine ruffles at the cuffs
Yarn for version 1 and 2:
MC: 650/710 (675/738, 750/920, 800/874, 900/984, 950/1038) m/y
Drops Brushed Alpaca with Silk 140m/153y per 25g/0.88oz - 77% Superfine Alpaca, 23% Mulberry Silk
CC: 650/710 (675/738, 750/929, 800/874, 900/984, 950/1038) m/y
4-ply fingering merino yarn from Sysleriget.dk with approx. 366m/400y per 100g/3.5oz or any other 4-ply fingering weight yarn that gives you the proper gauge.
The sweater is worked with two qualities of yarn (MC + CC) held together
Yarn for version 3:
MC: 650/710 (675/738, 750/920, 800/874, 900/984, 950/1038) m/y
Drops Brushed Alpaca with Silk 140m/153y per 25g/0.88oz - 77% Superfine Alpaca, 23% Mulberry Silk
CC: 650/710 (675/738, 750/929, 800/874, 900/984, 950/1038) m/y of a magic ball of yarn (mostly fingering weight yarns)
The sweater is worked with two qualities of yarn (MC + CC) held together
Yarn for version 4:
MC: 650/710 (675/738, 750/920, 800/874, 900/984, 950/1038) m/y LettLopi by Istex 100m/109y per 50g/1.76oz – 100% Icelandic wool - or any other aran yarn
CC: 100m/109y Silk mohair by Isager 100m/109y per 25g/0.88oz – 70% Mohair goat, 30% silk
Please keep in mind that yardage is an estimate
Sizes XS (S, M, L, XL, XXL):
The sweater has a positive ease of 20cm - 35cm/7.75”- 13.5”.
If a more roomy sweater is wanted, work a bigger size
The finished measurement around the bust is:
XS: 97cm/38.25”, S: 103cm/40.5”, M: 114cm/45”, L: 120cm/47.25”, XL: 128cm/50.5”, XXL: 134cm/52.75”
