This is a sampler afghan made up of 99 squares. Two squares are made from each pattern with the final square reserved for a monogram which the worker needs to create as no monograms or alphabets are provided. All squares are edged with crochet and once assembled, a crochet border is worked around all edges. Fringe is optional.
This is a written pattern. No charts are provided. Some of the terminology is not what is used currently but can be figured out with careful reading. This pattern seems to have been proofread as there are no discernible errors.
There is no stated gauge, just an approximate finished size of 51 inches wide by 66 inches long without the fringe.

The recommended yarn has been discontinued. It was a worsted weight. Note: this is could be thinner than modern worsted weight.
