Pattern suggests that you choose a main color yarn and one or two contrasting color yarns and a fun novelty yarn; coordinated colors but not dark to obscure technique stitches.
Suggested total yarn amounts:
Sport weight: Small 820 yds; Medium 875 yds; Large 960 yds
Worsted weight: Small 700 yds; Medium 750 yds; Large 825 yds
Bulky: Small 600 yds; Medium 650 yds; Large 700 yds
