The king of the jungle … it’s Samson the Lion! Knitted in stockinette, Samson has a mane of knitted loops and is worked in acrylic yarns so it is easier to keep clean after play. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the lion is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

NEEDLES
A pair of 3.5mm single pointed knitting needles (US 4)

RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, a stitch holder, buttons for eyes.

SIZES
One size only - 27cm tall from tips of toes to top of ears.

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knitting loops, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
