This pattern is seemless and worked in the round from the top down. The openness of the design depends on the yarn you select. You can use any yarn that allows you to meet gauge. I created the first sample using worsted weight and then worked an additional sample using fine yarn. This sweater can be used as a traditional sweater for cooler weather but I used it as a cover up making it more open and light.
