This shawl features a two unique cable stitches that are combined with a lesser known mesh stitch. (The cable stitches come to us from Canada and the creative mind of Annie Maloney). Combined, the three stitches make a striking shawl. It is a fun knit, and goes fairly quickly as it’s knit using heavy fingering weight yarn, or sport weight yarn. For those of you that enjoy knitting cable lace, I think this cable will intrigue you. Even most veteran cable knitters will probably find this particular cable new and different from most that they have knitted.

The pattern contains instructions for making “crochet hook” bobbles, as well as an optional crocheted edging.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a good working knowledge of cable knitting.

This pattern is both charted and written out line by line.

The sample was expertly test knitted by Rachel McKinney (100Creations) who can be contacted at: 100creations @gmail.com. and was knit using Lorna’s Laces Sportmate yarn, in colorway, Mirth.
