For my first original design with Pioneer, I wanted something in a simple garter stitch, but knit at a loose gauge on a drapey bias to show off the wool’s lovely loft. The cowl is knit flat and then grafted together at each end. The shaping on either side creates the bias. I couldn’t possibly pick just one color of Pioneer, so I added stripes to show off the unique, naturally dyed colors, juxtaposing the two shades of orange with an un-dyed cream shade. The result is a pillowy, cozy cowl, great for biking, snuggling around the campfire, and keeping warm when the fog rolls in.
