This is a shaped cowl that can use magnet snaps or large snaps and decorative buttons. It’s worked sideways, rather than in a tube going up.
The beginning and end of the cowl is worked with short rows, so the cowl lays flat on your chest.

I made this cowl several years ago. I don’t know how much yarn it took. It was just one skein of yarn.

The buttons are from Hobby Lobby (link is in the PDF)
I knitted it for my neck: 15 inches/38cm

At the center back, it measures 7.5 inches/19cm
Center front, over the button placket, it measures 7 inches/18cm

This pattern was written after knitting the cowl. (I originally planned to make this just for myself; now I wanted to share it.) If you find an error or something that doesn’t make sense, please let me know! This has not been test knitted!
