Sand Dollar by ChromoCrochet Designs
Sometimes there are times in a crocheter’s life when you want nothing more than to transform your house into a coral reef… but where will you find the time?
Introducing the crochet sand dollar! You can whip them up in only about 45 minutes, and they make an ideal gift, accessory, or decoration. To quote Ravelry user Wilmaelee, “These are like potato chips, hard to make just one.”
This pattern for an amigurumi sand dollar contains a detailed key of abbreviations and a step-by-step assembly guide with pictures. When worked in worsted weight, the finished sand dollar will be approximately .5 inches tall, 3 inches long, and 3 inches wide, although sizes will of course vary with yarn and stitching. Any colors can be used, so you can get as crazy as you like! It’s a great project to use up leftover scrap yarn.
