Sand dunes cowl
This cowl has a very soft, knit-like texture thanks to the simple, yet beautiful stitch. The stitch involves crossed dc, thus requiring some experience in crocheting (advanced beginner/intermediate).
The cowl is made using 2 strands of lace yarn in two different colors. I would suggest colors that blend together, as this creates very nice effects. I used Light Camel & Off-white. The indicated yardage is for a single strand.
The size of the cowl is easily modifiable: just make your base chain in multiple of 3+1 until desired length (I made 193 chains for a 43.5’’/110cm cowl). Then repeat Round 2 until desired width (I made 42 repeats for a 8’’/45cm wide cowl).
The ruffled border is made with 4 strands of yarn. Both the border and the body are made with a G/4mm hook.
I hope that you’ll enjoy making and wearing this cowl!
