Sand Dunes has its name from the cable pattern that remind me of the desert dunes. The golden yellow of the wool increases the illusion of the warm sun and makes me feel happy in his hug.
Two sizes from about 52 to 60, but you can play around with yarn and needles to get your perfect fit
Two versions: one is shorter and the other is longer, you choose.
About the color: I use to dye the wool myself. For this hat I used Drops Big Merino, but you can’t find that color. If you want to try by yourself, this is a mix of Aztec Gold, Fire Red and Brown by Jacquard Acid Dyes.
The hat is worked in the round starting with the brim in a simple 2/2 rib. Next you will work the cable pattern in the round until you get the desired length. The cuff is worked with some decresing rows and then you close the hole at the top with a needle.
What you need
YARN
2 balls total of Drops Big Merino, 100% merino wool, worsted weight, 50 gr / 3,5 Oz 75 m /82 yards. If you want to knit this hat in 2 colors add 1 ball more for CC. If you use a different yarn, you will need about 120/140 m or 130/140 yards
