The Sand Pond pattern is named for a small lake in southern Maine. When the waves of the lake gently wash in and out, they leave behind beautiful formations in the sand below. The cable pattern used in this hat (and the coordinating neck wrap and cowl shown in the last two photos) looks like the soft rippled peaks of sand, formed by the water, that flow artistically into one another. This pattern is perfect for knitter’s who have never tried cables, have some knowledge of knitting in the round, and is a super quick
knit for those experienced cable knitters. There are no abbreviations to learn and no charts to follow.

This hat coordinates with my Sand Pond Neck Wrap/Cowl shown in the last five photos, pattern is sold separately and available on my website.
