A set of 4 mm (US 6) double-pointed needles (or magic loop method);
or size to obtain gauge.
1 skein of De Rerum Natura Gilliatt all sizes (100 g = 250 m),
or
1 1 2 2 2 skeins of Aran weight yarn (50 g = 125 m) such as Gepard Garn Woolia; Malabrigo Worsted; Filcolana Peruvian Highland Wool; DROPS Merino Extra Fine.
Sample is knit in size Adult Medium, in De Rerum Natura Gilliatt, col. Poivre et Sel.
