The watermelon pink Sandia Mountains dominate the sky on the eastern side of Albuquerque. The mountains are awash in the glow of the sun setting in the west every evening, just one of New Mexico’s enchanting features. The fleeting evening colors are a beautiful contrast to the copper rocks, sage brush, evergreen juniper and clear blue skies that are characteristic of the high desert.
