The cable pattern in this scarf and hat reminds me of Sandpiper tracks.

I made the first set for my daughter in Yarn Bee Velvety Smooth Aran yarn. She loved them so much and wore them every day on our trip to Ireland for Christmas.

My Mom saw the set and wanted a hat, so I made her one with Bernat Velvet. It is larger than my daughter’s hat, which was a perfect fit with the same stitch count.

Then I was asked to make one in bright pink aran weight wool.
