Sandra's Stole
This stole was designed especially for my youngest sister, Sandra, who was battling cancer. I used her favourite shape (rectangular stole) and her favourite colour and fabric (blue silk) and used beads in place of nupps for some extra bling to cheer her up during her treatments.
This is a free ravelry download and may be made for charity/raffle/fundraiser. I have kept this free to make it accessible to all knitter’s. If you wish, please make a donation to your local cancer society. Thank you.
My sister lost her battle with cancer and passed October 2011. Now my father is battling the same stage 4 cancer. Your support of your local cancer society is greatly appreciated. I will keep this up and free in her honour.
The construction is rectangular with the second border grafted on using the Kitchener stitch. The stitches are from Haapsalu Sall, my very favourite stitch dictionary.
The width and length can be adjusted by adding (or subtracting) multiples of 20 stitches (1 pattern repeat of the silvia border). Only charts are provided for the stitches.
