YARN ALTERNATIVES
Any rustic 4ply or sport-
weight yarn would work in
this pattern. If substituting
with a Merino or fine wool,
use DK weight instead. The
yarn used in this pattern is
spun in Yorkshire then hand-
dyed in Jenn’s workshop in
Norfolk using plants gathered
and grown in Norfolk.

TENSION
Work 23 sts and 10 rows
in brim ribbing pattern to
measure 10 x 10cm/4 x 4in
using 3.5mm hook, or size
required to obtain tension.
Work 3 pattern repeats (24
sts) and 10 rows in harlequin
stitch pattern (main hat body)
to measure 10 x 10cm/4 x 4in
before blocking using 3.5mm
hook, or size required to
obtain tension.
