Sandwich Bag Sweater
Inspired by the colors and prevalence of the plastic sandwich bag, I wanted to make a sweater that drew from this iconic household staple. I designed this simple sweater in a thick yarn to make it as quick to knit as it is fun. The slight dolman sleeves mimic the roominess of the sandwich bag while the simple seams mimic the closures. Just a silly, lighthearted sweater for a silly, lighthearted baby!
Only one size available currently, but am looking to add more sizes soon.
We Are Knitters had the exact colors I was looking for: more muted versions of the classic bright green-blue-pink of sandwich bags. It feels wonderful. If you’re looking for an even squishier yarn, check out Malabrigo Rasta. They don’t have quite the right colors, but the feel of it is unparalleled.
Since you only use small bits of the pink and navy blue yarns there’s plenty of leftover yarn for extra quick projects!
