This cowl is just simply lovely.
Very feminine, casual and oh so pretty.
The yarn collective merino is delicious. Just so delicate and perfectly draped. Knit it in single colour or like mine adding that complimentary trim. You are the judge.
I designed this simply to test the lace pattern, but it turned out better than I thought, so here it is for all to enjoy. I can see myself using this lace pattern many times over, adding just the perfect femininity to any accessory.
Yarn: The yarn collective Bloomsbury in colour “Sand” (1 skein- 263 yards, there will be a little bit left) and other complimentary colour Soot (about 100 yards)
Needles: size 6 US circulars (24-inch cord)
Gauge: in stockinette st blocked swatch 22 st/32 rows in 4 inch/10 cm
Finished measurements:
29-inch circumference at top scalloped edge
34-inch circumference at dark trim edge
13-inch height
Notes about construction:
Worked top (scalloped edge) down.
The lace is a 15 st repeat that grows into a 16 at repeat, and is repeated 11 times, is a larger or smaller circumference cowl is required please cast on less -15 or +15 stitches.
