Sanibel Chevron Shawl
The Sanibel Chevron Shawl is worked from the bottom up in turned rows. The shawl has texture on one side only, and can be worn in many different styles - handkerchief style, over the shoulders, or as a shrug!
This shawl is designed using a DK weight cotton/rayon yarn, which is perfect for hot summer weather! You can use any type of fiber you like! Cotton, bamboo, or linen will be cooler for summer wear, and acrylic or animal fibers such as wool and alpaca will make a warmer material for cooler climates. Keep in mind that cotton has very little stretch, while wool will grow significantly when blocked. Your gauge, yardage requirements, and stitch definition will vary depending on the type of fiber you choose.
Both abbreviated and detailed instructions are provided in this pattern, to accommodate all skill levels. A photo tutorial is included for help with working in the third loop. Stitch counts for each row and an overall row counter checklist are also provided!
