This features Santa standing in the snow with a beautifully bedazzled Christmas tree next to him! There is a pretty blue gradient sky as the backdrop of this northern scene, and optional embellishments were added to the finished sample square - mini pompoms for snow falling in the sky, and beads for the tree ornaments! This square would be great in holiday decor, to use in blankets, pillows, satchel bags, placemats, etc.

This pattern includes a fully marked chart & written row-by-row instructions.

Any yarn or hook will work, depending on the desired size of the finished square. I used yarn weight of 4 with a 5.5 hook, which creates a square of 13.5” x 13”.

The amount of yarn needed will vary based on the colors you choose, but over all, when using medium weight # yarn & a 5 mm or 5.5 mm hook, the background takes approximately 2 oz (100 yards) and the design itself takes around the same. Some colors may only need a few yards so dig through your scrap pile!
