Santa
All parts are knitted flat and sewn up at the end. No circular knitting is required.
A similar pattern was published on the Let’s Knit Together website in 2020.
I have used 4-ply (fingering) cotton yarn, however, you can use DK (8-ply) with slightly larger needles (3-3.5mm). If you would like to use DK, you will need about 30g of red. The doll will come out about 25cm with DK. If you are a loose knitter, I recommend using DK with fine needles (2.75-3mm).
The cotton swab is inserted into the neck area for extra stability. Omit it if you like. You can use safety eyes instead of mushroom-shaped beads. Attach them before stuffing the head if you are using them. You can use coloured fleece if you dislike the stuffing showing through the stitches.
