When the news came out that William and Kate were coming to Santa Barbara area in July. Mrs. Pam Price - the owner of the Cardigans Knit Shop had asked me to knockoff a shawl like the one Kate wore. So I did. All the fellow knitters fell in love with the shawl. The Santa Barbara News Press came to the shop and did a article on the knockoff shawl on July 5th 2011.
Here is my interpretation of the shopping shawl - Santa Barbara style.
Re. Ruffle edges: The Navy blue shawl seen in pictures, only has the first increase on ruffles. Omit the second row increases for less ripples of ruffle.
