Santa Claus
I have never designed a Santa Claus before, or Father Christmas as we say in the UK. I’m not sure why, perhaps because there are already some really good patterns “out there”. But customers repeatedly ask me for one every Christmas so here we are.
You can use either Double Knit yarn/Lightweight Worsted/8ply, as quoted above or Aran/Worsted Weight/10ply but please use 3mm needles for Santa and 3.5mm for his outfit and 12 mm toy safety eyes.
Santa is knitted flat and assembled, I have included a very detailed making up guide full of photos to help you.
Finished measurements for a Double Knit Santa is approximately 12 inches/30cm and for an Aran Knit approximately 15inches/38cm.
