Santa Claus Amigurumi
This pattern teaches you how to make Santa Claus amigurumi.
This pattern is slightly complicated and is not recommended for total beginners. It comes with 19 pages of detailed instructions and 47 photos to help you follow along. The stitches and techniques that you will need to know for this pattern are:
- Crocheting in continuous round,
- forming a magic ring,
- sc - single crochet
- sc inc - single crochet increase
- sc dec - single crochet decrease
- ch - chain stitch
- ss - slip stitch
- sc3tog - single crochet 3 together
- dc - double crochet
- bo - bobble stitch (brief instructions given in pdf)
Using fingering yarn with 2.5mm hook will produce a santa of about 11.5cm/4.5in tall. It will be bigger if you use a thicker yarn and smaller if you use a thinner yarn.
The materials you will need for this project will be (based on fingering yarn):
Red yarn
White yarn
Beige yarn
Black yarn
Yellow yarn
Black embroidery thread
Stuffing
Crochet Hook 2.5mm
Yarn needle
