I created this design when I received an order for a newborn Santa Claus Hat and Pants set from a customer. I searched for a pattern written in half double crochet, my preferred hat stitch, and couldn’t find one I liked. This hat works up really quickly and is offered in a wide variety of sizes from a small doll to a large adult. I have three daughters and they always want a matching hat for their dolls, so I always try to include that size. I have included in this pattern some photo tutorials and other pictures to help you along the way.
