Knit our Santa Claus Jacket/Cardigan suitable to fit a child 6 months to 2 years old.

Design
The Jacket has cute Father Christmas motifs to the back and front. The back, left side, right side and sleeves are knitted separately up to yoke and then slipped onto same needle to complete the yoke which has an attractive cable design. The sleeves and side seams are sewn together. Stitches are picked up for the front button/buttonhole bands. A chart is provided to follow for the motifs.

Sizes
The pattern includes 2 sizes to fit a child: 6-12 months and 18-24 months old. Chest size: 18 and 20 inches or 46 and 51 cms.

Yarn
The pattern uses double knitting wool (an alternative yarn for overseas knitters would be USA Light Worsted or Australian 8 ply).
The picture shows the outfit knitted for size 18-24 months old using Sirdar Snuggly DK in shades: Pastel Blue (0321), White (0251), Flamenco (0242), Black (0312) and Rico Baby Classic DK in shades Light Pink (Powder 038)

Tension
22 sts and 30 rows to 10 cm (stocking stitch) on 4 mm needles or size needed to achieve stated tension.

Needles
Sizes 3.25 mm and 4 mm (USA 3 and 6) needles are required.
