Santa Claws has made his list and checked it at least THREE times. With his beard on and his suit buttoned up, he’s prepared to brave the cold again this year. Who knows what kind of surprises he’s holding in his bag for all the good kittens and crocheters out there. They say that if you listen closely, you might hear him purr, “Meowy Catmas” as he rides away…

This 13-page crochet pattern contains all of the instructions and photos you will need in order to create your own Christmas Santa cat complete with hat and bag. There is also an additional 7-page printer-friendly version of the pattern included. This pattern has been thoroughly tested and proofread to be easy to follow. You are welcome to sell finished objects made from this pattern.

Skill-level: Intermediate

The recommended yarn/hook combo will result in a project ~7 in/17 cm tall. However, feel free to use your preferred yarn/hook combo. Using a thicker yarn will result in a larger finished project. Basic crochet techniques and stitches (magic ring, single crochet, slip stitch, chain, increase, invisible decrease, working into front/back-loop stitches, and color changes) are used in this pattern. Instructions are provided for face shaping, the invisible color change, and the bobblet stitch.

Materials:
Yarn: Cotton sport (#2) weight yarn or yarn of your choice (~202 yd/185 m)
Hook: 2.75mm or the appropriate hook for your yarn
Toy stuffing
Safety eyes: 10 mm or the appropriate size for your yarn
Embroidery thread
Stitch marker
Yarn needle
Scissors
