This is a written pttern which includes a size chart for adapting the pattern from a preemie through an adult.

Gauge is not important, so you may use any size yarn, with a compatible hook, and use the size chart to get your dimensions correct.

You will need 1 skein of red yarn and 1 skein of white.

This hat would also look adorable using stripes of different colors for an Elf hat.
