Santa Fe Turquoise Trail Scarf is the fifth pattern in a series based on the Orenburg square shawl construction using design elements from the American Southwest.

It was first published in PIECEWORK Magazine in March/April of 2017. I’ve re-written the pattern with more in-depth instructions (& the correct charts). The errata link is for the version published in the magazine.

This pattern is a perfect small project for getting the feel of Orenburg gossamer lace. This scarf has Orenburg-style edging on the ends and sides, and is 6 points wide. It can be adjusted in length, depending on how many times you work the “repeat” section which covers 3 edge points.

If you have some lovely yarn in your stash that you’d like to use, you can easily add or subtract any number of repeats for the amount of yarn you have on hand. I used some Laceweight Mongolian Cashmere (32/3).
