Santa Hat Headpiece
I am SO in love with this VIntage Santa Headpiece and have been counting the days to share it with you, and it is time!
Made using worsted weight yarn of a stiff nature (think Red Heart Super Saver or Caron One Pound) held DOUBLE strand and a J hook for the main hat, this works up FAST! The smaller details use an H, E, and B hook. It will fit a preteen to most adults and fits as a helmet style with room to spare inside. The beard cowl goes all the way around the back!
It is a written pattern in English only using standard US terminology. The pattern is 11 font size calibri, 21 pages long for right hand work (left can absolutely be done, but at your discrection and knowledge base). There are photos of a good size for sewing, which I have given very detailed instructions for so your hat turns out amazing!
It is rated intermediate to advanced intermediate, the stitches are not difficult, but you must count stitches, work in rounds and rows, and sew the face on. You will need the yarn, a basic crochet tool kit such as scissors, stitch markers, and tape measure. and some stuffing. Gauge is made part of the pattern and not a separate swatch. A head form for sewing the details on is quite helpful.
Questions? Please message me on the platform of purchase and I will get right back to you!
