For ages I have wanted to design a Santa wreath. Nothing tricky, but large enough to be effective & knit flat. I didn’t want him to be too bright – although you may make him so if you prefer, but I wanted a more muted palette. I was on Amazon website looking for my favourite Utopia crafts chenille yarn for a different project & came across some yarn from China which was perfect https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0D9BPM26G?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b...
It doesn’t have a thickness on the yarn, but I would guesstimate it is DK.
I have used 3mm needles with it & it came out perfect.
You will need approx. 150g of Dark green,
120g of creamy white
60g of red
100g of beige / flesh
A 32cm wreath
3mm knitting needles 4mm knitting needles – I use circular needles for everything. Straight are fine, nothing is knit in the round.
Copious amounts of pins
Tiny amount of blue & black yarn
A pair of toy glasses
Fine marker pen
a pick pine leaves & cones - I made mine out of crepe paper
Gold bell, or, bauble - again mine was made from crepe paper
