Santa Keyring or ornament
This little Santa is only 4 ¾ inches/12 cm high so can be hung on your Christmas tree, used as a keyring or just a standing ornament, you could even fix to a present or sack for a nice festive touch.
He is a quick knit and knitted flat using only small amounts of yarn.
The fleece yarn can be substituted for Eyelash or even white DK.
Materials used
Small amounts (less than 10gr)
In the following colours.
Red
green
Black
White
Flesh
Small amount of white in either fleece yarn, eyelash yarn or
DK Please note if you use EYELASH, take care the right side is out before sewing on and if you are using DK yarn, knit every row regardless of what the pattern says for the hat brim and the beard.
Pair of 3mm straight needles
Pair 15mm plastic safety eyes
Optional crab claw keyring
Small amount of ribbon or cord.
Abbreviations used
Please read as not all designers use the same abbreviations.
K = knit
P = purl
St/sts = stitch/stitches
Ss = stockinette stitch (one row knit, next row purl and repeat)
k2tog/p2tog = knit/purl the next two stitches together (decreases one stitch)
Inc1 – knit into the front and the back of the next stitch (increases one stitch) Please note if you use any other method than this, your stitch count will not work out.
