Santa's Sack Christmas Baby Cocoon
The perfect newborn photo prop for November and December!
Also GREAT for swaddling newborns.
This cocoon pattern is very versatile. Turn it inside out, and you have a different texture! Pull it up under baby’s head, and it appears to be hooded! Use it as a bowl-type “pod,” with the bottom of the cocoon tucked under baby’s head.
You can actually knit it shorter, if you want to make a separate bowl-type pod/cocoon.
You need a circular US 13 (9 mm) needle and dpn’s to complete this. It is knit in the round, so you will be using the knit stitch all the way -- VERY EASY! If you have yet to learn knitting in the round, let me assure you that there are many, many video demos on YouTube.
I have written this pattern with the novice in mind: Very thorough instructions and only one abbreviation (K2tog for knit two together), and I am available for any advice you need via email. Literally hundreds of beginners have had success with my patterns, and gone on to making more props! Over 13,000 sales, and 100% feedback. Read what the newbies are saying in my Etsy feedback.
Permission is written on the pattern for you to make as many of these trendy, practical garments as you like: for your own use, to give, OR TO SELL!!!
