This shawl pattern was designed both by myself and AJ Atwood. It was designed so that an intermediate knitter that loves the combination of cable and lace would have a unique shawl pattern for their knitting pleasure.
This shawl features a two unique cable stitches that are combined with a lesser known of the mesh stitches. Combined, the three stitches make a striking shawl. It is a fun knit, and goes fairly quickly as it’s knit using heavy fingering weight yarn, or sport weight yarn. For those of you that enjoy knitting cable lace, I think this cable will intrigue you. Even most veteran cable knitters will probably find this particular cable new and different from most that they have knitted.
The pattern contains instructions for making “crochet hook” bobbles, as well as an optional crocheted edging.
Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a good working knowledge of cable knitting.
This pattern is both charted and written out line by line.
The sample was expertly pattern tested by AJ Atwood who can be contacted at: eochdubh.pooka@ gmail.com.. The yarn used in the sample is Lorna’s Laces Sportmate yarn (any sport weight yarn will work): Substitution suggestion: Fleece Artists’ BFL Sport Yarn.
The pattern is for sale both here on Ravelry and in the Cable Lace Shawl Pattern Section (https://www.etsy.com/shop/WearableArtEmporium?section_id=...)
