I designed this shawl while on a family vacation at a beach house on Santucket Road. It includes some of my favorite things to knit, garter stitch, i-cord and cables. This shawl is knit sideways, weighed as you go, in order to use up as much of your yarn as possible. You can use one or more skeins, depending on how large you’d like it. The rows are short and it seems to knit up faster than a more traditional shawl with top-down construction.

Materials Needed: scrap yarn, crochet hook, yarn scale, 1 stitch marker, cable needle, tapestry needle
