São João del Rey is a beautiful historic city of Minas Gerais, with an architectural breathtaking. That city is part of my childhood, because is very close to my hometown.

Materials:
Yarn: Approximately 800 yards of DK weight yarn. Sample was done in Pingouin Desejo in color 0049, nuvem (254 yards, 232 meters 100% acrylic), 4 balls.
Needles: US7 / 4,5 mm circular needle (120 cm)

Notions: stitch markers, tapestry needle, blocking tools
Sizing (blocked): 210 cm wingspan x 52 cm depth
Gauge: 15 stitches and 30 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm (4” x 4”) in garter stitch

Pattern notes:
This shawl is made bottom-up, starting with a border and shaping with a wrap and turn method. The i-cord bind off gives the shawl a beautiful end. A video-tutorial has been assembled to help in the perfect execution of the w&t method and also the nupps.

São João del Rey é uma linda cidade histórica de Minas Gerais, com uma arquitetura de tirar o fôlego. Essa cidade faz parte da minha infância, pois ela é muito próxima da minha cidade natal.

Notas da receita:
Este xale é tricotado de baixo para cima, começando com uma borda e sendo moldado com carreiras encurtadas. O arremate em i-cord dá ao xale um lindo acabamento. Um video-tutorial foi montado para auxiliar na perfeita execução do método e&v e também da bola.
