When the weather turns cold, I love to hop into something warm and comfy that feels like a big hug. And so the idea for this sweater was born.
This pattern suits beginners and more advanced knitters who value attention to detail because it incorporates some techniques that I consider essential for a refined finish. The color changes and the moss stitch detail makes it more fun to knit.
The sweater is worked from the bottom up. The two hems are cast on separately and then joined to work the body in the round. The shoulders are joined with a variation of the three needle bind off. Finally, the neckline and armhole stitches are picked up to knit the neck and sleeves respectively.
The sweater comes in 9 sizes and it’s fairly cropped, but the pattern indicates where you can increase the length, if you wish to. The recommended ease is 15-20 cm. Finished bust circumference: 104, 109, 115, (120, 125, 130), (135, 145, 155) cm – 41, 43, 45.25, (47.25, 49.25, 51.25), (53.25, 57, 61) in
