Named after my Granny, who instilled in me a deep love for fiber crafts at a young age, Sarah is the perfect shawl for anyone wanting to learn brioche. The alternating sections of garter stripes and 2-color brioche will keep you entertained and make the project fly off your needles. The other fantastic thing about the garter stripe and 2-color brioche combo is that it creates a reversible shawl! The worsted weight yarn also makes this crescent shawl incredibly warm and cozy.

The instructions for this crescent shawl only include the one size, which is roughly 62" (157.48 cm) long and 14" (35.56 cm) tall. To create a larger or smaller shawl, the pattern repeats can be either increased or decreased, however this will require a different amount of yarn than is suggested for the pattern.

Animal fiber is highly recommended for this pattern as it requires heavy blocking to achieve the crescent shape. The sample used two skeins Fierce Fibers Buxom yarn, which is a deliciously squishy MCN blend. The main color is the "Sophist" colorway and the contrasting color is "Grit". The pattern only used a little over half of each of these massive skeins, so smaller skeins of worsted weight yarn can be substituted as long as close attention is paid to the amount.
-MC used approximately 245 yds (224 meters)
-CC used approximately 230 yds (210.3 meters)

Additional materials needed for this pattern include scissors, a tapestry needle for weaving in your ends, 2 stitch markers, t-pins for blocking, and blocking mats (optional).
