This is a super simple basket weave design knit in the round. I used size 7 - 24” circular needles and a worsted weight yarn. Gauge is not super important unless you knit really tightly or very loosely, BUT take the time to check your gauge so the cowl is large enough to double up. It is meant to be worn doubled for warmth but can be worn loose as an accessory.

I knit on the loose side so you may want to cast on more or less stitches/change needle size to obtain a 5 stitches per inch gauge on US Size 8 needles as suggested by the yarn.

This pattern only takes approximately 170 yards so it is a perfect stash buster!
