Sara's Running Cowl
As most of you know, this winter has been obscenely cold. With sub-zero temps and wind-chills I found training for the Pittsburgh marathon grueling! Scarves just don’t keep my neck warm and they always fall down from protecting my chin! So I finally made myself a cowl that will keep my neck and chin warm in this super cold weather!
It’s made in a rib pattern because it is the warmest knitting stitch, as it holds pockets of warm air in the ribs.
The chimney shape paired with the super bulky yarn will stand up around my neck to protect my chin! I made it out of Schachenmayr Lumio yarn so if I run in the dark everyone can see me!
Supplies:
About 70 yards of super bulky yarn
Size 15 needles
Yarn needle with a very large eye to accommodate the size of the yarn
1349 projects
stashed 805 times
