We are always needing those transition pieces to get us through the seasons changing. This is a quick cowl to work up and the button holes are optional, if you want to choose smaller buttons for your cowl, simply omit the hole, as the hook size will make holes big enough for smaller buttons to fit thru.
I used an extreme crochet hook, 15mm size. These are available at most Yarn and Craft Stores and online.

Piece measures over 10” or 26cm long Buttoned and measures 23cm or 9” wide. You will need a knowledge of chain, sc, fsc (foundation single crochet) to complete this cowl. If you don’t know the fsc stitch, I give alternate instructions.
