Sarnia Cherie
Sarnia Cherie. Gem of the sea.
Home of my childhood, my heart longs for thee.
Thy voice calls me ever, forget thee I’ll never,
Island of beauty. Sarnia Cherie.

Named for my beloved island of Guernsey, which we like to think is the home of Gansey/Guernsey design.
A simple rectangle worked from end to end, this wrap contains traditional gansey patterning that represents the ropes, ladders and nets that made up my father’s working life as a professional fisherman. The seed st borders will help the whole design to lie flat.
Work in a cotton mix for a cool summer wrap or a classic wool for a cozy wrap for the colder months.
