This pattern features the beautifully detailed texture of moss stitch throughout the design. The straps are added at the end and ruffles are worked around the opening to refine the edging. The strawberry appliques are created and attached to embellish the bag. The instructions on making the appliques are also included in the pattern. You’ll need:
#2 Sport weight yarn (approx. 64 grams or 147 m or 161 yds) of 100% cotton yarn for the bag.
You’ll also need a #3 DK weight yarn (I used approximately 1.4 grams or 3.3 m or 3.6 yds of 100% cotton yarn in three different colors: red, green, and white) for the three appliques.
A 3.5 mm crochet hook, yarn needle, scissors, sewing thread, and sewing needle are also required.
