The colorwork in this pattern is inspired by one of my favorite Moana characters - the sassy ocean! This bag is made using tapestry crochet and a double strand of yarn, so it is extra sturdy and works up really fast! It is plenty roomy for a day at the beach - I easily carried a large book, water bottle, towel, keys, and wallet with space to spare. It would be a great tote for everyday use as well.

Dimensions: 12” H x 15” L x 4.5” W

Necessary skills:

• Sl st

• Ch

• Sc

• Sc2tog

• Back loop only

• Tapestry crochet (note tapestry tutorial NOT included)

• Simple color chart reading

Materials:

• I/5.5 mm crochet hook

• Worsted weight cotton yarn in two colors: 910 yd/520 g main color and 210 yd/120 g contrast (a yarn on the lighter side of that category is recommended, such as Premier Home Cotton)

• Scissors

• Yarn needle
